Myrto Dimitrokali, MA
Biographical Note
Myrto Dimitrokali is a Research Assistant at the Chair of Science, Technology, and Gender Studies (STGS) at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), working within the ERC project Living with Radiation: The Role of the International Atomic Energy Agency in the History of Radiation Protection (HRP-IAEA). Her current research explores the history of the International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP), its relationship with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and how both have shaped global standards for radiation protection during the early years of the Cold War.
She holds a MA in History and Philosophy of Science and Technology from the interdepartmental program of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) and the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). Her master’s thesis examines the nuclearization of post-war Greece by focusing on the establishment of its first and only nuclear research center, Demokritos, in the context of Science Diplomacy. She also holds an BA in Greek Philology.
