As part of the block seminar “The History of Nuclear Medicine”, the Chair of Science, Technology and Gender Studies is hosting a workshop day examining the origins and extension of nuclear medicine in the period after the second world war. With papers from leading scholars in this field who are researching the diverse configurations of nuclear medicine, we bring new perspectives on the history of how radiation was used in medical practice in the 20th century and how medical specialities arose with the advent of new technologies.
